dc.description.abstract Abstract provided by author: en_US
dc.description.abstract This dissertation is intended to give the administrative background of Namibia during the period of abortive peaceful settlement. The dissertation is divided in five parts looking into the present situation and other prospects of development. The first three parts are based on historical background and on political activities while the last two are dealing with the Public Finance and its anticipated role in the development of the economy en_US
dc.description.abstract Each part of the dissertation is broken up into sub-topics covering the political, economic and social life of the population and the country's position in international politics. The sub-topics of part IV and V proposes development projects as well as the functions of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economic Development Planning and their connections with the International Development Aid Agencies. All of the five parts have short conclusions in a form of round-up on sub-topics en_US
dc.description.abstract Since this dissertation has two phases i. e. the present and post independence, to discuss I find it necessary to make a separate introduction for the Public Finance discussed in the last two parts (IV and V) en_US
