The purpose of the study was to compare how University of Namibia students used electronic information retrieval tools in the library.... [The] tools being studied were OPAC, CD-ROM and Internet. It also looked at whether they know how to use the tools and if they find it easy to retrieve needed information to meet their demands. The assumption was that students do not have good knowledge of electronic retrieval tools and librarians are not doing enough in the education services of the users. Therefore, the result of the study shows that students are using electronic sources in the library but most of them do not have knowledge of searching through electronic tools. In the end, recommendations on how to overcome such problems are provided |
