dc.description.abstract Based on this statement, a study was conducted in the town of Rehoboth. The student acted as catalyst by conducting this research to broaden people's vision, scope of work and service delivery regarding the specific counselling needs of the Rehoboth community. The study focuses on the following variables: Family and community relationships, substance abuse, domestic problems, suicide, welfare services and religious activities. An attempt was made to contribute to the field of knowledge about the dynamics of social problems in Rehoboth en_US
dc.description.abstract The research findings proved that the existing services in the community are overloaded with a workload that makes it impossible to reach everyone in the community on time. Therefore, counselling services are needed in Rehoboth. The study consists of five chapters, The Research Design, Literature Study, the Empirical Study, Data Analysis and Interpretation, and then the Conclusion and Recommendation en_US
dc.description.abstract The sample consisted of 50 respondents, 25 males and 25 females. Information was gathered by means of a structured questionnaire with clear instructions. The interviewer translated certain questions in the questionnaire to Afrikaans whenever it was necessary en_US
