The main focus was on variables inhibiting the students from using the counselling services set up to meet their utmost counselling needs. These Counselling Services include the Social Worker's Office, The Placement Officer, the Clinic and the Pastor's services

The conclusions are that students have many counselling needs especially social problems (alcohol and drugs), personal problems, academic and career as well as health

The sampled population was 50 university students between the ages of 16 and 36, females were slightly dominating. A self-administered questionnaire was used to collect the data from hostel students, non-hostel students and leadership groups

This study consist of 5 chapters: 1. Research proposal (gives the method to be used throughout the study), 2. Literature review (available resources on the topic of study), 3. The empirical study (the practical way on how the method was used and followed), 4. Data analysis and interpretations (the data indicated by respondents and how they correlate with literature study) 5. The conclusion and recommendations
