dc.description.abstract The purpose of the study is to have a critical look at the evaluation of primary School principals in the Windhoek District. Specifically, however, the study has the following objectives: en_US

To determine the extent to which primary school principals have been evaluated in the Windhoek District, b. to seek for possible ways of improving leadership in primary schools in the Windhoek District, c. to make a contribution to research already done in Namibia in this field, e. to get an increased understanding of the state of primary school principals in the Windhoek District, f. to identify the needs for primary schools principals, g. to encourage Primary School Principals to be effective in managing their schools. Primary school principals according to the researcher, could be effective if they could accomplish the six Johnsonian dimensions mentioned earlier in this chapter, h. to determine whether primary school principals are up-to-date with the new developments in educational reform, i. to ensure that educational planners and administrators uphold educational standards by introducing an assessment centre (which is a new idea), j. to finally suggest possible solutions to the identified problems and offer suggestions and recommendations based on the findings en_US
