A study was carried out to evaluate the prevalence of Caprine Brucellosis in goats in peri-urban agriculture, as a case study taken in Ondangwa area. Sera samples were collected from Oniipa, a suburban of Ondangwa. About 97 sera samples were collected from adult goats that were randomly selected. A Rose Bengal serological test was carried out as a screen test to give positive or negative results of each individual's exposure to the infection. Results for Ondangwa, as communal area were compared to that of Neudamm farm, as a commercial farm. Results for Ondangwa showed a low incidence of the infection in goats in the area, whilst of Neudamm does not show any positive case. The predisposing factor for disease transmission in Peri-urban areas is that, they are very confined environments whereby there is close cohabitation of human and animals and within different species of animals
