dc.description.abstract Abstract by author: en_US
dc.description.abstract Any profession has the need to respond to technological invention/innovation and the prevailing ideas in society. These developments require employees to adapt to situations and challenges and up date their skills to respond to the growing needs of serving the global village. The purpose of this study is to try and find out what the new-media (technologies like internet, computer, editing machines ect) are present at Namibia Broadcasting Corporation (NBC). The study needs to look at both television and radio stations' employees (participants) of which the sample size is 100 be will used for the study. Two method of collecting data was used; -questionnaires, and observation. The users of technologies for distribution, production and storing of both stations in the using of new-technology will be the main targeted as participants. Studies of training needs as such indicate that training needs are necessary to be put in place for the development of employees. It is the thesis of this paper that training needs in new-media technologies are essential to employees' developmental process at NBC for effectiveness and that such training lacks. The study's main limitation was not all employees could be observed on the using of technologies. An unsubstantial or lack of in knowledge of new technologies will force this study to avoid pointing out all newly introduced technologies in the production and communication departments of NBC en_US
