dc.description.abstract Abstract by author: en_US
dc.description.abstract The target population in this study was the youth in some selected institutions of learning in Namibia. This selection was based on the type of the institution of learning and the environment in which it is found. The data was collected from the responses of 50 students from the Khomas Region, in which 25 of them were from the University of Namibia (UNAM), and the other 25 from the Polytechnique of Namibia. This number represented 45. 5 percent of the total respondents targeted from the urban areas of Namibia. The other data was collected from 30 learners from Oshikuyu Combined High School (OCHS). This number represented the total population respondents, from the rural areas of Namibia in the Oshana Region. The age group of the respondents ranged from 15 to 30 years en_US
dc.description.abstract This study is important because it aims at searching for better interpersonal communication styles that may help dating partners to improve on their ways of interaction with their partners and reduce or completely stop violent behavior in dating relationship. It is hoped that, stopping violent behavior in dating relationship may as well lead to elimination of family violence in marriage relationship. This means that the usual instances of women (girlfriend or wife) battering might come to an end en_US
