Abstract by author:
Findings of the study suggest that plant poisoning can result due to various factors, of which the relative abundance partly contributes, among others are the grazing, feeding and water management. It is observed that only 2 percent of the farmers use shepherding as a control method. The poisonous plants are of major importance in the ECA, as they affect all the farmers at the same level of severity, regardless of the purpose for which livestock is kept (P 0. 05)
