This paper reports the length-weight relationship (LWR) for the hake species, Merluccius capensis and Merluccius paradoxus (both male and female) in the Namibian Benguela region between the Orange River and the Kunene River. Parameters of the LWR in the form of W=q*Lb are presented for the two hake species that are based on data which was collected during the 2004 Namibian bottom trawl hake biomass survey. The sample size was relatively large with a total of 3700 measurements with M. capensis Male (n=1060), Female (n=l 137) and M. Paradoxus Male (n=470), Female (n=1029)
