Analysis showed a direct relation between coastal and marine pollution and littering and unfavourable marine-life welfare, not leaving out humans as well. A substantial number of animals either... [lose] their lives or get injured in one way or another as a result of pollution and/or littering. The results strongly indicate that coastal and marine pollution and littering pose detrimental health hazards, not only to marine life, but also to the human populations around such areas |
