dc.description.abstract This study was undertaken to investigate the use of electronic resources in school libraries in Windhoek Namibia. Tarlor 1994:50 states that libraries are the heart of the school and its purpose is to support qualities education and help learners to arquired knowledge and skill which is useful in their academic activities.The study clearly stated that, school's resources were not fully utilized at school. The researcher find out that most of the learners were not had skills on the use of electronic resources as a result this lead to poor academic performance.The main aim of the study was to investigate the nature of information services offered to the users of school libraries and to investigate the use of electronic skill among learners and to find out how electronic resources relevant to their academic performance. The reseacher manage to investigate the different factors that lead to poor academic performance among learner Furthermore the study attempted to investigate the skill and knowledge of the existing school librarian and also attempted to determine the relationship between the school libraries and information skills in school and academic performance. The study also entailed the important of electronics resources as a key to educational resources and the new technological change that coming out. The research made use of political -economic approach which placed the present state on Namibia school libraries and the need of training to school librarian to provide effective services to school library users. In order to achieve the aim of the study the researcher used a mixture of quantitative and qualitative method of collection data. Questionnaire were distributed among learners at primary and secondary school level reseacher had clearly shown that school libraries were not had adequately facilities to support education services,luck of qualified librarian and poor communication among school boardand teacher librarian en_US
