This research project is to determine the use of periodicals by students at the University of Namibia library as a source of information, UNAM, Main Campus, and Windhoek. The topic is chosen because periodicals literature is of utmost important to our research work in today's world. And it is realizedthat students of the University of Namibia, main campus do not make use of the periodicals as expected. This problem is mostly prevalent in the use of periodicals due to the lack of knowledge and the lack of information literacy lessons or activities on how to use periodicals amongst the students
As the title shows, this research will be carried out at the University of Namibia, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, main campus situated in Windhoek. So the researcher will identify some of the problems contributing to these problems by conducting a research through several research methodologies and instruments such as survey questionnaire's that will be distributed to selected students as respondents from the faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences as well as selected 6 lecturers from the mentioned faculty and departments of Information studies, Media and Sociology as key informants and a further survey questionnaire will be distributed to the 4 librarians as key informants, interviews, indirect observations by recording selected periodicals used daily during the time of the research at UNAM Library, main campus, Windhoek.
