dc.description.abstract It is inter alia provided by the Namibian Constitution under article 12 titled "fair trial" that a trial shall take place within a reasonable time, failing which the accused shall be released. Subsection (e) of the same article further provides that all persons shall be afforded adequate time and facilities for the preparation and presentation of their defense en_US
dc.description.abstract It is clear and evident by the provision of the Namibian constitution that all people have the right to a fair trial which include a speedy trial. The basis of this paper or the most important or crucial question is whether this right to a speedy trial is effectively implemented and or given full effect. en_US
